Ingredients

  • 5 oz lean sirloin steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/2 cup jasmine or brown rice (dry)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onion for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1Cook rice according to package directions.
  2. 2Whisk tamari, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. 3Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  4. 4Add beef in a single layer; sear 60-90 seconds per side until just browned. Remove to a plate.
  5. 5In the same pan, add ginger and garlic; stir 20 seconds until fragrant.
  6. 6Add bell pepper and broccoli; stir-fry 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  7. 7Return beef to the pan, pour in sauce, and toss 1 minute to coat.
  8. 8Serve over rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onion.
